使用 Durbin-Watson 统计量检验回归模型中的误差是否存在自相关。自相关表示相邻观测值的误差是相关的。如果误差是相关的,那么最小二乘回归可能会低估系数的标准误。低估标准误可能会使并不显著的预测变量显得非常显著。

例如,每日股价数据的回归模型误差可能取决于以前的观测值,因为前一天的股价会影响第二天的股价。

Durbin-Watson 统计量 (D) 以观测值的顺序(行)为条件。Minitab 假设观测值遵循有意义的顺序(如时间顺序)。Durbin-Watson 统计量确定相邻误差项之间的相关性是否为零。

要从检验中得出结论,可以将显示的 Durbin-Watson 统计量值与 Savin 和 White1 提供的下表中正确的下限和上限进行比较。如果 D > DU,表示不存在相关性;如果 D < DL,表示存在正相关性;如果 D 介于上下限之间,则无法从检验中得出结论。该表提供了用于检验一阶正自相关的值。该检验的显著性水平为 0.05。该表适用于具有截距的模型。

还可以使用此表检验一阶负自相关。检验统计量为 (4 – D)。如果 (4 – D) > DU,表示不存在相关性;如果 (4 – D) < DL,表示存在负相关性;如果 (4 – D) 介于上下限之间,则无法从检验中得出结论。2
